Help us find out whether this works.

We have built a course we believe in. We have not yet proved it teaches better. Ten to twenty engineers will settle that, and we would rather know than guess.

What you get

• The Terraform Foundations course, free, and first access to Lab 01 and the production course that follows.
• The results, including the uncomfortable ones, and your name in the acknowledgements if you want it.

What we ask

• A short baseline test before you start (about ten minutes), and two short tests seven and twenty-one days after you finish. They use fresh scenarios, never the course's own questions, so they measure understanding rather than memory of the quiz.
• One "rebuild the picture" exercise at the seven-day point, scored on relationships, not drawing skill.
• Fifteen minutes of honest feedback: what confused you, where you stopped, whether the quick checks helped or got in the way.

What we measure, and only with your consent

The course itself keeps your progress in your browser and sends us nothing. In the cohort, you agree to send us your test answers and your feedback by email; nothing is collected silently. The question we are testing is written down in advance: does this method help engineers understand and retain Terraform's mental models better than they expected? One open question we will test with you is whether the current density of quick checks helps or fragments the lessons.
